The name Moooi comes from the Dutch word 'Mooi'for 'beautiful', but with and extra 'o' for 'extra beautiful'. International recognized for its unique and innovative interpretation of design, Moooi was first presented under the creative direction of Marcel Wanders, at the Salone del Mobile in Milano, April 2001. Since then a lot has happened. Moooi has started a cooperation with some of the absolutely greatest international creative people like, Ross Lovegrove, Li Edelkoort, Erwin Olaf, Joep van Lieshout and Jurgen Bey. It is Moooi's challenge to positively influence the lives of all people it touches with her work, to be an inspiration to many and to grow out to be a legendary company in the international design arena.
